Parker Valentine doesn't grow her own grapes; instead, she's a winemaker who buys her fruit from California vineyards. After years of work, she's sure she's thought of everything to make the opening of her Boulder, Colorado, tasting room a success. What she hasn't counted on is the death of a famous food blogger just moments after sampling her Chardonnay. Hoover delivers animated dialogue and captures the spirit of Parker's thoughts as the vintner tries to save her business by tracking down the killer. Noticeable breath sounds can be distracting, but listeners will enjoy the descriptions of Boulder and the characters' interactions. Red herrings and good plotting make for a twisty mystery.
